We are very pleased to offer one of the most important factory Daytona Spider. |
| This Daytona Spider is the first production car which was originally delivered | |
| in Italy with an optional stainless steel hardtop with two targa tops. The targa | |
| tops could be taken away seperately from the hardtop which looks very | |
| interesting on a Daytona Spider. Ferrari only produced three Daytona Spider in | |
| total with an optional hardtop but this is the one and only with the targa roof | |
| plus the normal softtop frame which has been delivered to the normal Daytona | |
| Spider. It is as well very interesting that this is one of only 18 Daytona Spider | |
| which has been delivered in Europe having the european spec engine developing | |
| more torque than the US version. In our opinion this Daytona Spider is the most | |
| interesting car out of a production run of only 122 cars made in total. | |
| The car has a complete history from day one having been delivered to its first | |
| owner in Italy. Later it has been up from 1975 with a well known owner in | |
| Swtzerland who sold it into the famous Albert Obrist collection in 1982. Later it | |
| went through famous collector Jürg Heer and from there for a couple of years to | |
| Sweden where it was sold into one of the most interesting collections in Germany | |
| in 2004. Now we had the chance to acquire this important Ferrari Icon. | |
| The Daytona Spider is just showing an original mileage with a little bit more than | |
| 70 000 km which is documentd by its perfect original interior. The engine | |
| compartment shows the typical signs of an original but well treated Ferrari. The | |
| engine sounds prefectly and produces lots of torque and has shown a full | |
| compression shown on a leak down test. | |
| Last not least the car has been the star of a very amusing road movie which has | |
| been created in the early seventies which is called "The Swiss Conspiracy". We | |
| are happy to send lots of photos of this movie and as well a copy of the movie | |
| to the next owner. | |
| We are aware about the fact that this car is one of the most important Daytona | |
| Spider on the planet. We suggest to the concerned enthusiast to check this car | |
| carefully. |
