Comments:

The 246 GT Dino has been originally delivered to the Italian market being

sold through Motor SAS Roma/Italia to its first owner Rico Lanza who kept it only

three years. In 1975 it found its second owner in Germany with the early Ferrari

enthusiast Markus Kiesgen/Saarbrücken who is known for being one of the three

founders of the Ferrari Club Germany.

In 1980 it was bought by another early car enthusiast and third owner Eddie

Rauh/Hof who kept the Dino for twelve years until 1992 when he sold it to the

fourth owner Dr. Helmut Illius/Münchberg. After Dr. Illius passed away it was sold

in 1995 to Mr. Mussenbrock who sold it again in 2002 to the sixth owner Stefan

Gruschke.

Stefan Gruschke was something what we would call today a "Dino maniac". When

we met him the first time we were more than amazed about his knowledge and

his passion to collect every single book, magazine or article about Dinos which

he could get hold of. He loved his new purchase and decided to go through a

nut and bold restoration regardless of costs. We are very sure that Stefan would

still be the proud owner of "his Dino" if he would not have had received the

chance to sign a longterm contract working for his company in Asia. To maintain

his toy properly in Singapur would have been a nightmare for him. So he

decided to leave it in Germany and sold it to us.

After Stefan Gruschke had purchased the Dino in 2002 the car was completely

dismantled by the " Dino 246 GT Specialst" ASA Andreas Schulz in the South of

Germany. They decided to have the bodywork done in Italy to the highest

possible standard. It was told that the bodywork alone had cost more than

60.000,- Euros.

We have hundreds of detailed pictures while the car was dismantled

and while the bodywork has been carried out in Italy. While the metal work has

been executed in Italy the complete technique of the car had been rebuilt at

ASA in Germany. The engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes, wiring harness

and each single item installed in the car have been taken apart, inspected and

rebuilt if necessary. The paint job was carried out in Italy. The complete interior

had been done in black leather and black carpets. The dashboard has been

renewed by using the correct mouse-hair material produced in Italy.

After its restoration Stefan decided to use the engine with nice looking velocity

stacks which will today accompany the car. But due to our concerns of originality

and as well out of safety reasons we have installed the original air filter housing

again.

The 246 GT Dino had been inspected by the most famous Dino specialist

Matthias Bartz who is known for his wonderful and extraordinary "Dino

Compendium" about everything which we should know about Dinos and about

everything what is known about Dinos. According to his archive he confirmed

the engine and gearbox numbers to be the correctly stamped matching

number components being installed by Ferrari in 1972.

After we had purchased the car from Stefan Gruschke our Dino found a new

home with the 7th owner located in Hamburg who kept the car until early 2025.

We learned that the last owner had used his Dino frequently and he was

participating in most of the Ferrari Club Dino events which were organized by

Matthias Bartz. He intended as well the 50 year anniversary 246 GT/GTS Dino

event which was taken place in Maranello in 2018.

In the last 9 years it was serviced by the Dino specialist "Dino Parts"

Stefan Kratzer in Eschwege/Germany. The service records will accompany

the amazing archive file and are totalling at appr. 25.000,-  Euros. The last

fresh service record dated on the 30.04.2025 is about 9.200,-  Euros.

We cannot say more that it will be difficult to find a better European Dino, having

a complete history from the very first day, matching numbers and having had

a painstaking three year restoration.

Needless to say that it runs and drives flawlessly.

We will be more than happy to supply detaild pictures of its condition and as

well of its restoration.
